Rheometers

Compared to a rotational viscometer, which is primarily useful for quality control of incoming and outgoing products, a rheometer uses absolute rotor geometries that allow precise flow properties of the analyzed sample, such as absolute dynamic viscosity, to be inferred. A rotational rheometer also features advanced mechanics that allow continuous analysis of the variation in viscosity with flow velocity, typical of non-Newtonian fluids, leading to the creation of the sample’s own flow curve.
