The 2030 Agenda, promoted by the United Nations, highlights the need to adopt sustainable development models through policies and practices that promote just and egalitarian societies with a neutral environmental footprint.

The Agenda proposes 17 Goals with 169 integrated and indivisible targets covering the economic, social, and environmental spheres.

The 2030 Agenda entails a shared and universal commitment. However, since each country faces specific challenges in the pursuit of sustainable development, States have full sovereignty over their own wealth, resources, and economic activity, and each will set its own national targets, adhering to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), set out in the text approved by the General Assembly.

With the results achieved on EcoVadis, Ecomate, and Open-Es, Exacta Labcenter SpA is in tune with the social and environmental realities that will emerge internationally over the coming decades.
This also meets the demands of many clients who have a very high level of sustainability compliance and require technology service providers who can reliably validate this commitment.

ECOVADIS

The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards and is overseen by a scientific CSR committee and supply chain experts to ensure reliable third-party CSR assessments.
Exacta Labcenter has been awarded the BRONZE | Top 35% medal by EcoVadis for its commitment to sustainability.

With an overall rating of 65 out of 100 points, Exacta Labcenter SpA falls in the 81st percentile.

With this accreditation, the company continues its corporate policy of internal and external auditing and monitoring all business processes. In addition to its numerous certifications, it also implements ongoing monitoring of its operations and relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring corporate policies are aligned with good governance and sustainability in their broadest sense.

OPEN ES

Open-es is an alliance launched by Eni with Boston Consulting Group and Google Cloud in early 2021. In addition to RINA, other leading Italian and international companies have joined the initiative. Thanks to the initiative’s openness to all companies, and in particular to the partners’ commitment to engaging their value chains, Open-es already has more than 7,200 companies on the platform: a true community that, through discussion, collaboration, and the identification of priority actions, is contributing to the sustainable development of the entire ecosystem.

The ESG assessment service and the DIAS platform contribute to the initiative by verifying the information disclosed by companies as they measure their ESG profile. This process is based on the four pillars of the World Economic Forum’s Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics:

• Planet: impatto ambientale
• People: respect for human rights and health and safety
• Prosperity: essential elements for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and for growth 
• Governance Principles: Fundamental to achieving long-term value by aligning and guiding financial, social, and environmental performance.

ECOMATE

Through this analysis, we can gain a deep understanding of our current positioning in terms of ESG practices and identify the most effective strategies to further improve our ESG rating.

This rating highlights the progress made so far, but also underscores the importance of maintaining a proactive approach and oriented toward continuous improvement. It is precisely in this spirit that we intend to continue, strengthening our commitment to sustainable, responsible, and transparent practices. We want to ensure that every step forward makes a significant contribution to our mission of creating long-term value for the environment, society, and all our stakeholders. 

Biodiversity

The company is surrounded by its own land, covered with approximately 28,700 m2 of forest, woodland, and tree vegetation, in various stages of development. These vegetation is essential for increasing CO2 absorption and meeting regional and provincial targets in implementation of the 2015 Paris Agreement.

The company is careful to prevent any form of exploitation that could alter the balance of existing native species and assigns the forestry and woodland system priority objectives of nature, landscape, and hydrogeological protection, as well as scientific research, climate rebalancing, and recreational purposes.

A research project is currently underway in collaboration with the Department of Life Sciences of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia regarding the overall and annual absorption of CO2 by the company’s forest.
