The Italian Society of Mineralogy and Petrology (SIMP) and the Italian Geological Society (SGI) have announced the Joint Congress 2025, entitled “Geosciences and the challenges of the 21st century”, which took place in Padua from 16 to 18 September 2025, at Padova Congress.
The three days featured:
- Parallel scientific sessions
- Plenary lectures with national and international speakers
- Round tables
- Thematic workshops
and opportunities for discussion dedicated to the impact of geosciences on contemporary society. There were also pre- and post-conference excursions, designed to explore some of the topics covered in depth in the field.
